Sandra Leah Barrington, beloved wife, mother, and community leader, and devout Christian, peacefully departed after a brief battle with cancer on November 23, 2023. Born in Topeka, Kansas, Sandy’s journey unfolded with passion and purpose. She met her soulmate, Roger Barrington, at Wichita State University, and together, they shared 56 years of enduring love.
Sandy’s vibrant life included a successful career as a professional model and instructor. In 1980, she, Roger, and their daughters Laura and Leah embraced a new chapter in the mountains of Colorado, where Sandy thrived as a Regional Vice President Independent Consultant with Arbonne International. Her career provided not only professional success but also the chance to forge lasting friendships and embark on exciting adventures.
In 2013, Sandy and Roger settled in Hoxie, Arkansas, where Sandy became an integral part of the community. Actively involved in the garden club as secretary, and dedicated to service, she earned the title of Master Gardener. Her commitment extended to the Business Professional Women’s Association and United Methodist Women in Faith, where she served as Vice President, and was nominated for President for 2024.
A cherished member of the First United Methodist Church in Walnut Ridge, Sandy found joy in serving and contributing to various ministries. Her warmth, compassion, and leadership left an indelible mark on her church family.
