Timothy Joseph Ryan, 66 of Walnut Ridge, passed away November 3, 3023, in the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro.
Born May 17, 1957, in Walnut Ridge; son of the late, Andrew Jackson and Mercedes Thennes Ryan. Tim was united in marriage to Teresa Jenkins on June 4, 1983. He made his career in education, starting as an Art Teacher at Sloan Hendrix and then to Hoxie School District, teaching Art and then becoming the Hoxie Elementary Principal. Tim enjoyed sports, loved Golf and coached the Hoxie Golf team. He was very talented and enjoyed using his hands, making art, and doing carpentry. He shared his love, passion, education, humor, and a warm smile with everyone. After retiring from 33 years in education, he worked for six years at Hytrol, making many more friends.
He is preceded by his parents, and a brother, Jack Ryan.
Survivors include his loving wife, Teresa; one son, Nikolos Ryan of Walnut Ridge; one daughter, Mikayla (Terrence) Ward of Walnut Ridge; a grandson, William Joseph Ward; three brothers, Terry (Regina) Ryan of Walnut Ridge, Mark (Jane) Ryan of Bentonville, Maurice (Sheila) Ryan of Springdale; four sisters, Sharon Askins of Raleigh, NC, Mary and Marie Ryan both of Little Rock, and June (Stan) Duckworth of Lakeland, TN; and many other relatives and friends.
Celebration of his Life will be Saturday, November 18, 2023, in the Bryan Chapel in Hoxie.; Visitation will be from 11 A.M. till 12 P.M. following a Memorial service from 12 P.M. till 1 P.M.; where family and friends are welcome to share memories, with Bro. Tim Campbell officiating.
Interment of his cremains will be in the Strangers Home Cemetery at a later date.
