When someone is court ordered to be on the sex offender registry in Arkansas, state law requires certain information to be registered with the sex offender registry through their local law enforcement agency. This information includes all vehicles owned or used by the sex offender. These laws are in place to protect the public if a sex offender does reoffend.
Izard County Sheriff Melton said “not all sex offenders will reoffend, but we can not take that chance. To help protect the public, any sex offender not complying with sex offender registry laws in Izard County will be prosecuted”.
