Clarence Herbert Lucas, Jr, 64, of Imboden passed away on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, at Walnut Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation.
He was born September 30, 1959, in Marianna to Clarence Herbert Lucas, Sr. and Bobbie Simpson Lucas.
Herbert graduated from Sloan Hendrix High School in 1977. He worked in agriculture, as a sandblaster and a mechanic.
Herbert loved hunting in his younger years and in the later years would look forward to watching the deer, turkey, and other wildlife from his front porch. Herbert could shoot a mean game of pool and enjoyed playing dominos with his family.
Herbert loved to sing especially gospel music. “The Lighthouse” was a particular favorite as was the song country song “The Long Black Train”. Herbert loved the Lord and enjoyed bible study.
Herbert was blessed with many friends over the years, especially those he fellowshipped with at Serenity House.
Herbert never met a stranger and had a heart full of love.
Herbert was preceded in death by his son Charles Nathan Lucas, his father Clarence Herbert Lucas, Sr., his grandparents Clarence and Lillie Lucas, Tom and Evelyn Simpson, Aunts Glenda Simpson, Sue Simpson, Clara Williams and Uncles Jimmy Simpson and Jerry Williams.
Survivors include his mother Bobbie Simpson Lucas of Imboden.
His siblings Lynn (Jim) Grantham of Lufkin, Tx, Jane Dorris of Crawfordsville, and Jean Lucas of Imboden.
His nieces Amber (Brenda) Carter of Biloxi, MS, Katie (Jamie) Wiltse of Sugar Land, TX, and Lexi Anderson of Imboden. His nephews Tim (Kortnie) Carter of Marion, Alan (Melissa) Gaston of Pocahontas and Josh Anderson. Great nephews Eliseo Carter, Owen Carter, and Gavin Carter.
His Uncles Tommy Simpson of Dell and Richard “Slick” Simpson of Blytheville.
And special friends Gary Rasmussen, Angela Sanders and Jeannie Lewallen.
A memorial Service will be announced by the family at a later time.
