Original Story:
Gauge Harris from Pocahontas,Ar is 11 years old and has qualified to compete in World Championship Mini Bull Finals in Mesquite,Tx October 2-6 at the Mesquite Rodeo Arena. This is his 3rd year to qualify for World Finals and he is the current Ozark Family Rodeo Jr Mini Bull Champion for 2023. He loves riding bulls and says one day he will be the next JB Mauney. He has won 6 buckles since he began riding bulls in the spring of 2021. He comes from a long line of bull riders, his dad and uncles all rode bulls. From the first time he rode a bull he was hooked on it. Last year he competed in a series called Riding for Jesus and won it, he says this was his favorite buckle to win and compete in. His favorite saying is “Just do your best, and let Jesus do the rest” because when Jesus is with you nothing can be against you! He hope to win the World Finals this year and win the money so he can start his own mini bucking bull herd.
