Edna Mae (Lambie) Burris, 93, of Walnut Ridge, passed peacefully on to her heavenly home on Thursday, September 14, 2023 at Lawrence Hall. She was born to G.E. and Callie Lambie on January 14, 1930, in Egypt. She married the love of her life, Charles Lowell Burris on September 9, 1945 in Jonesboro. She retired from General Electric after more than 30 years. She was a proud, yet humble member and accompanist at Egypt Baptist Church. She enjoyed making quilts as her mother before her did, thrived as a breast cancer survivor, and served her community in His love all the days of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Lee Roy (Judge) and Gerald Lambie; half-brothers Carl, Elmer, and Ernest Lambie; half-sisters Lois and Joy Lambie.
She is survived by her son, Rick (Brenda) Burris of Walnut Ridge; grandson, Hunter (Ashley) Burris of Walnut Ridge; and great grandchildren, Baylee, Cade, and Madelyn Burris.
Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2023, from 10 until 11 a.m. at Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge with the funeral immediately following at 11 a.m. Rob Combs will officiate. Interment will follow in Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Home in Walnut Ridge.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Hunter Burris, Cade Burris, Dennis Burris, Mark Lambie, Mark Tate, and Erick Tate.
