Wilma Jean Simms, 62 of Walnut Ridge, died August 9, 2023, in the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.
Born March 12, 1961, in Walnut Ridge; daughter of Carl Ray and Marjorie Smith Burnside. She was a factory worker and a loving caregiver. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.
She is preceded by her father, Carl; her husband, Roy Harris; and a brother, James Burnside.
Survivors include her two daughters, Lindsey Simms of Charleston, S.C., and Mariah Harris of Walnut Ridge; a son, Kirk (Melissa) Simms of Sedgwick; six grandchildren, Kaitlynn, Julia, Gabby, Madison, Cody and Dillon; her mother, Marjorie Burnside of Walnut Ridge; four sisters, Judy, Brenda, Wanda, and Melinda; five brothers, Douglas, Gary, Harold (her twin), Paul, and Terry; father of her first children, Kevin Simms of Sedgwick; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Service will be Monday, August 14, 2023, at 12 P.M. in the Bryan Chapel. Pallbearers will be Kirk and Derrik Simms, Douglas, Gary, Harold, Paul, Terry, and Noah Burnside. Interment will follow in the Lawrence Memorial Park.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 A.M. till 12 P.M.
