Authorities say they have filed felony charges of domestic battery, aggravated assault on a family and endangering the welfare of a minor in Fulton County against Tyler Jones, age 28 and Saibrah Himschoot, age 27.
The charges filed on July 24th stem from an incident in late June when the Cherokee village Police Department responded to a medical facility after being notified of injuries to a child consistent with abuse.
The injuries to the child were photographed, including a laceration to the child’s lip and bruising on the child’s face, arms, back and legs.
The victim told authorities that Jones would push the victim, slam the victims head against the wall and that Himschoot had struck the victim in the mouth with a wooden paddle several times.
Authorities say Jones was present when Himschoot hit the child.
Affidavit’s stated the victim also had bruising to the ear which was a result of Himschoot pinching it.
Jones placed the victim in the floor and placed his foot close to the victim’s neck applying pressure so the victim would not be able to breathe.
Himschoot and Jones have both been charged with domestic battery, aggravated assault on a family or household member and endangering the welfare of a minor.
Bond for Jones and Himschoot was set by a judge at $10,000 each.
