Albert Lewis Powell, 82, of Imboden passed away May 15, 2023, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.
Albert was born March 17, 1941, in Imboden to the late Harmon T. and Imogene Winchester Powell. He married Barbara Smith June 6, 1967. Albert served in the U.S. Army for 2 years. He was owner and operator of Powell’s Welding and Machine Works for 49 years. Albert was of the Assembly of God faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; and one grandson.
Albert is survived by his wife, Barbara Smith Powell of 55 years and 11 months; 2 sons, William “Bill” (Janna) Powell of Imboden, and Mark (Deena) Powell of Batesville; 6 grandchildren, Robert “Bobby” (Jenny) Powell of Imboden, Jessie (Christian) Helms of Pocahontas, Nathan, Sarah Grace, Jonathan, and Moriah Powell all of Batesville; 2 great grandchildren, Reese Carter, and Jemma Powell; one brother, Gerald (Connie) Powell of Imboden.
Visitation will be Friday, May 19, 2023, from 6-8 PM in the Chapel of McNabb Funeral Home. Graveside service will be Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 10 AM in Hope Cemetery with Gaylon Russell officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Bobby Powell, Christian Helms, Jonathan Powell, Coy Slusser, David Powell, and Ronald Ring.
Honored to serve as honorary pallbearers are Jack Dail, Jason Powell, Richard Robbins, Mike Mamula, John Vance, Dennis Zweifel, Charles Clark, and Nathan Powell.
