Recently, the Searcy Police Department / Central Arkansas Drug Task Force (CADTF) has received complaints of drug activity and human trafficking at the Briarwood Apartments which are owned and managed by Tom Kelso, age 72 of Searcy, located at 2103 W. Beebe Capps Expressway.
After an investigation, the CADTF obtained search warrants for the residence, office, and storage apartment of Tom Kelso.
On 4/18/2023 Search Warrants were simultaneously executed at multiple addresses belonging to Kelso by CADTF with assistance from the Searcy Police Department, White County Sheriff’s Office, and the Arkansas Community Corrections Intensive Supervision Program.
During the search, multiple firearms, methamphetamine, fentanyl, paraphernalia, and numerous electronic devices were located and seized.
Kelso was charged with three counts of human trafficking, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of fentanyl with purpose to deliver, possession of meth with purpose to deliver, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kelso was booked into the White County Law Enforcement Center.
