Authorities say on Jan. 3, during a course of an investigation, Randolph County Sheriff’s Deputies were able to identify a suspect that was downloading child sexual abuse material.

Authorities obtained a search warrant that was executed in the northwest portion of Randolph County on Tuesday, Jan. 10th.

The suspect was at home during the execution of the search warrant. Randolph County Deputies arrested the suspect identified as Gary Hayes for five counts of possessing visual or print medium depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child, along with five counts of distributing, possessing, or viewing of matter depicting sexually explicit conduct involving a child.

The investigation is still ongoing, Arkansas State Police and the FBI are assisting with the case.
