At 7:52pm on Sunday night, authorities in Lawrence County were notified of a high speed pursuit headed into Lawrence County. The pursuit was started in the Highland area and traveled Hwy 63 south into Ravenden.
The suspect vehicle was reported to be a stolen white 4-door passenger car with 2 individuals inside.
Lawrence County Sheriff’s Deputies set up spike strips near the Rest Area on Hwy 63 and attempted to disable the vehicle’s tires but the suspect avoided the strips.
The pursuit traveled through Imboden, Black Rock and Portia before turning on Hwy 67 south. Jackson and Craighead Counties were both notified of the pursuit.
Units from Walnut Ridge, Hoxie, Black Rock and the Arkansas State Police all converged to the area of the pursuit.
The pursuit turned on Hwy 226 south at 8:23 pm. Arkansas State Police Troop C intercepted the pursuit.
At 8:40 pm the pursuit ended In Jonesboro with the vehicle wrecking out and the suspects being arrested.
No suspect information has been released at this time.
