Last night, the Sedgwick Volunteer Fire Department held the annual Christmas party and presented several awards to some outstanding members.

Children attending had a visit from The Grinch and he attempted to steal the kid’s presents but was stopped by Santa. After the Grinch was gone, Santa handed out gifts.

Three awards were presented to outstanding members:
Joe Larkin was awarded “The Adam’s Award” for contributions to the department.

Billy Blair was awarded “most runs” for 2022

Jeff McGinty was awarded “Firefighters of the year”

Congratulations to all three for their hard work and contributions to the department.

A chair was reserved to honor fallen Chief Wes Adams with his turnout coat and helmet. Chief Adams died in the line of duty serving his department and community.

Special thanks to Chief Heath Ring for sharing the department’s festivities.
