An Agatha Christie mystery takes the stage starting in November, as the Downtown Playhouse in Pocahontas presents “The Mousetrap.” Tickets are now on sale for the production, which opens Nov. 5 and is scheduled to run through Dec. 3.

“The Mousetrap” is set at Monkswell Manor, a country inn on the outskirts of London, where a blizzard has stranded seven strangers. A police sergeant arrives with news that there has been a murder nearby, and the murderer may be among them. As the guests arrive, everyone fits the murderer’s description and has a secret, sparking a classic “whodunit” drama.

The production is sponsored by Anderson Refrigeration, and it is directed by Kelly Grooms. It will be staged November 5, 6, 11, 12, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26 and December 2 and 3.  Tickets are $25, tax included, and the cost of admission also covers dessert and a beverage.

Dessert options are pecan pie, key lime pie, vanilla caramel cake and sugar free parfait. Dessert and beverage selections should be made at the time tickets are reserved.

Reservations can be made by calling (870) 758-2282. The Downtown Playhouse is located at 302 North Marr Street in Pocahontas.
