Three firefighters were treated for heat and smoke after an early morning fire in Sedgwick according to Chief Heath Ring of the Sedgwick Fire Department.
Chief Ring reported the Sedgwick Volunteer Fire Department was paged at 5:03 am to a commercial building located at 35 Main Street in Sedgwick.
Chief Ring stated that two firefighters were taken to hospitals in Jonesboro and one went to Lawrence Memorial Hospital. Chief Ring said one of the two taken to Jonesboro has been released, the conditions of the other two is still unknown at this time.
Chief Ring said Bono Fire Department assisted with the blaze.
The Arkansas State Police has been contacted to investigate the cause and origin of the early morning fire.
