A Lawrence County Deputy pulled a victim from a wrecked vehicle the caught fire early Friday morning.
At 12:51 am on Friday Morning, Lawrence County Deputies attempted to stop a vehicle traveling northbound on Hwy 63. The vehicle refusing to stop for law enforcement continued north on Hwy 63, officers stated the driver was having trouble maintaining the lane. Sharp County was notified of the pursuit headed toward their county.
When the suspect passed through Ravenden the vehicle left the roadway, overturned and caught fire near Spring River LP Gas Company just north of town.
The officer pulled the subject from the wreckage called for both an ambulance and the Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department to respond.
Ravenden Fire was on scene at 1:02 am and reported the vehicle was fully involved in flames. ProMed Ambulance of Imboden arrived on scene shortly after.
A medical helicopter from Hospital Wing was requested to land at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital landing zone. The driver was taken by ambulance to the landing zone and flown to an area hospital for treatment of injuries.
The identity of the minor driver has not been released by law enforcement.
Units from the Ravenden Volunteer Fire Department were clear of the scene at 2:02 am.
The Arkansas State Police are assisting with the investigation.
