David Charles Jansen, 66, of Reyno, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, in Jonesboro, on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. David was born on Tuesday, November22, 1955, in Pocahontas, to Frank and Clarice Pettigrew Jansen.

David was a friendly and well-respected man. He served two years on the Randolph County Quorum Court followed by sixteen years as Randolph County Judge. David was also involved with the East Arkansas Planning and Development District and the Eddie Mae Herron Center and Museum in Pocahontas.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clarice; brothers, Larry Jansen, Ronnie Jansen, and Frankie Jansen; paternal grandparents, Andrew and Mary Jansen; and maternal grandparents, Clarence and Willie Pettigrew.

David is survived by his loving wife Kathy of the home; son, Josh (Anna) Jansen of Biggers; granddaughter, Alexis (Cayden) Tribble of Reyno; grandsons, Joshua Jansen, and Nate Jansen, both of Biggers; sisters, Rene Tyler, of Pocahontas, and Debbie (Donny) Hibbard, of Pocahontas; many nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.

All services will be held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home. David’s visitation will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm., followed by a rosary beginning at 4:00 pm. David’s funeral mass will immediately follow the rosary, with Father Stephen Elser officiating. Burial will follow in Nelson Cemetery in Reyno.
