A Walnut Ridge man was arrested in Sharp County on drug charges according to authorities.
Sharp County Deputies received a call regarding a trespassing complaint.
The victim claimed a couple beside his camper at the River Bend Park in Hardy were stealing power from them.
When law enforcement arrived, they found the couple standing by a vehicle near their home.
The man was identified to be Larry Parish, age 24 of Walnut Ridge. Parish was on felony parole, and according to his parole officer, he was supposed to be in Lawrence County, not Sharp. A search waiver was on file as a condition of his parole.
A search of his car and motor home, turned up a cannabis vaporizing device with THC fluid and a zipper bag containing a glass smoking device with a crystalline substance inside the device.
The victim stated to authorities he no longer wanted to press charges against Parish for stealing the power, due to him repaying the victim for the amount he used.
Parish was charged with felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance.
He was taken to the Sharp County Detention Center.
His bond was set at $5,000.
