The David James Memorial Scholarship has recently been established through the BRTC Foundation.

Jon David James, a major part of the Randolph County farming community, was a kind and caring man. He was always wearing a smile and was always willing to help someone in need. He enjoyed spending time with his family and hunting.

David left behind a wife, Darlene James; daughter, Chloe James; son, Jon Cameron James; stepdaughter, Ashley Garrison; step grandchild, Colby Benton; parents, Billy Ray and Edwina James; and sister, Donna James.

The David James Memorial Scholarship was created in memory of David James by his friend, Michael Ellis, and will be awarded to a BRTC student majoring in agriculture. For information about creating or supporting a scholarship, contact Karen Liebhaber at (870) 248-4185 or email her at KarenL@blackrivertech.edu.
