According to the Arkansas State Police, two people were killed in a two vehicle accident on Hwy 67 on Tuesday.
The accident happened at 2:18pm at Hwy 67 near Broadway Street.
ASP says a 2018 Ford driven by Janet Shaffner age 75 of Makanda Illinois crossed over the center turn lane striking a 2007 Peterbilt head-on killing the driver Janet Shaffner and a passenger identified as Eldon Shaffner age 73 of Makanda Illinois.
The driver of the semi was not injured according to the report. The accident was investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
