Izard County authorities announced A joint operation between the Izard County Sheriff’s Office and the 16th Judicial District Drug Task Force, resulting in an arrest.

The investigation began in August of 2021 when authorities began purchasing methamphetamine from Justin Janson, age 36.

Undercover buys were conducted on two separate occasions in Izard County using the information provided to the Drug Task Force.

During the first undercover purchase, the task force made arrangements to meet with Janson to purchase the methamphetamine. 
The evidence was described as one clear plastic baggie containing more than two grams, but less than ten of methamphetamine according to the report.

In the second undercover buy, the task force was able to purchase one clear plastic bag that contained more than two grams, but less than ten of methamphetamine. 

Janson was arrested and charged with two felony counts for delivery of methamphetamine – less than ten grams, but more than two, and felony maintaining a drug premise. 

A judge set bond at $30,000.
