Evening Shade Police Department has reported the arrest of three people on Sunday according to arrest reports.

On April 3rd Officers with the Evening Shade Police Department and the Sharp County Sheriff’s Department served a search warrant on the residence of James and Vanessa Rowan in Evening Shade in Sharp County.

Authorities conducted an investigation into recent drug activity at the residence.

Three adults and one juvenile were living in the residence according to authorities when the warrant was executed.

The three adults were identified to be James Rowan, Vanessa Rowan, and Kenna Fitzgerald. 

Authorities say the search of the property turned up a large amount of methamphetamine-related drug paraphernalia, 11.3 grams of liquid methamphetamine, a firearm, marijuana-related paraphernalia, marijuana, and a number of unidentified pills. 

Officers also discovered four deceased animals in cages in different stages of decomposing, along with raw sewage coming from the residence into the backyard. 

The three adults were arrested and transported to the Sharp County Jail. They are charged with felony possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, felony possession of drug paraphernalia, felony maintaining a drug premise, felony continuing criminal enterprise, felony endangering the welfare of a minor, and four counts of animal cruelty.
