Oneta Jean Branscum, 94, of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022. Oneta was born on Saturday, November 12, 1927, to Hubert and Mattie Bates Ellis.

Oneta is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Eldon Branscum; parents, Hubert and Mattie Bates Ellis; son, Arlis Branscum; daughters, Donna Wells, Viola “Penny” Collins, Diane McCollum, Lisa Patterson, and Linda Kay Honeycutt; grandchildren, Amy Branscum, Tim Wells, Ginger Broadway, Jody McCullum, and Jamie Ashford; and sisters, Nadine Reeves, Wilma Coggins, Tressie Nix, and Sherry Cunningham.

Oneta is survived by her son, Joe (Linda) Branscum of Ravenden Springs; daughters, Kathy (Gail) Bailey of Ravenden Springs, and Teresa (Carl Brown) Pontzius of West Plains, Missouri; son-in-laws, Millard Wells, Claude McCollum and Larry Collins; grandchildren, Steve Honeycutt, Joe Honeycutt, Michael Honeycutt, Waymon Wells, Brandon Bailey, Jason Collins, Justin Collins, Jasper Collins, Brian McCullum, Stacy McCullum, Tashina Brown, Heather Godsey, Holly Branscum, Heidi Bunyan, Megan Brown, and Nikki Ashford; forty great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held in the Wiles Cemetery, in Ash Flat, Arkansas, on Saturday, April 2, 2022, at 2:00 pm, with Jim Cox officiating.
