Arkansas State Police is reporting a Fulton County man was killed and three others were injured Wednesday in a one-vehicle accident.
According to Arkansas State Police Fatal Crash Report, Edwin V. Borntreger, age 21 of Salem was a passenger in a 2008 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling east on Hwy 62 around 12:25 p.m., Feb. 23 when the accident occurred.
The report states the truck was pulling a trailer with logs when it lost control on a downhill grade and crossed the westbound lanes.
The report stated the vehicle went off the east side of the road and struck a tree.
The driver of the truck, Austin Freeman, age 23 and two passengers- Willard Yoder, age 37 and Scott Freeman age 56, all of Salem, were transported to an area hospital.
ASP reports there was sleet and freezing rain in the area when the crash happened and the road was icy.
