Larry Joe Martin, 65, of Bono pleaded no contest to sexual assault-2nd degree on Feb. 9th in Craighead County Circuit Court and was sentenced to 4 years in prison according to court documents.
An investigation by Bono PD resulted in Martin’s arrest in November 2020.
Martin originally told police that nothing happened between himself and the child and that he never had sexual contact with the child.
Martin later admitted to improperly touching the child.
In addition to the 4 year sentence, Martin was given a 60-month suspended sentence and also ordered by the judge to comply with state sex offender registration requirements including not living with a child unless approved by the court.
