Arkansas State Police report a Batesville woman and a minor died in a two-vehicle accident early Friday morning on U.S. Highway 167 in rural White County.
According to the Arkansas State Police’s preliminary crash report, a 2016 Chevy Sonic driven by Ashley Modlin, age 33, of Batesville, was northbound on Highway 167 when it veered to the left and crossed into the center turn lane. The ASP report stated the front left side of Modlin’s vehicle then collided with the front left side of a 2014 GMC Acadia that was driving south on Highway 167.
An unidentified minor passenger in Modlin’s car was killed along with Modlin while another minor in the vehicle was injured.
The driver of the Acadia was also injured according to the report.
