The USGS is reporting a 2.3-magnitude earthquake in Sharp County Saturday morning.

The earthquake happened around 7:20 a.m. on Saturday, about six miles northwest of Cherokee Village according to the USGS.

The 2.3 earthquake had a depth of about 1 1/2 miles below ground, USGS stated.

The earthquake was the second recorded in recent days with a 1.9 magnuitude
Reported southeast of Cave City Friday morning.
