According to the Arkansas State Police, four people were killed in a head on accident that occurred on Hwy 69 in rural Independence County just after 4:30 pm on Thursday.
According to the report, a 2011 Ford Taurus driven by Kathy Smith of Batesville cross the centerline and struck a 2020 Toyota Prius driven by Brenda Horn of Sulphur Rock. Both drivers were killed along with two additional passengers in the Brenda Horn vehicle, those additional passengers killed were Donna Crabtree of Sulfur Rock and Judy Knox of Halls Tennessee.
A third vehicle, a 2010 Dodge Ram was also involved in the accident hitting the 2020 Toyota Prius after the head on crash. No injuries were reported from that vehicle.
The accident was investigated by the Arkansas State Police.
