A City Of Hoxie employee was killed in an accident involving a mower on Thursday afternoon according to officials.Â
Around 2:20 p.m. Thursday Lawrence County Dispatch received a 911 call reporting the accident on an empty lot on Hartigan and Southwest Broad Street in Hoxie. Hoxie Fire, Medic One Ambulance, Lawrence County Deputies and Hoxie Police were dispatched to the scene.
The city employee was mowing a steep embankment where the accident happened, where he died at the scene.
Officials have not released the identity of the employee, pending notification of family.
