A vehicle vs motorcycle accident in Izard County on Tuesday afternoon took the life of one person and injured three others according to Arkansas State Police.

The preliminary fatality report states, a Dodge driven by Phillip Gillihan, age 30 of Melbourne, was traveling westbound on Highway 56 when his vehicle crossed the centerline and struck three motorcyclists riding Harley-Davidsons heading eastbound on the state highway.

Michall Morris, age 47, of Heber Springs was killed in the accident, the report states he was the driver of a 1978 Harley-Davidson. ASP also reported three others were injured: Gillihan, and the two other motorcyclists — Dwayne Woods, age 65, of Denver, Colo., and John Milton, age 62, of Heber Springs.

Arkansas State Police reported the weather was clear and the highway dry at the time of the accidents .
