Steve Johnson, 62, of Biggers, Arkansas, passed away at St. Bernard’s Five Rivers Medical Center, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Steve was born Thursday, March 7, 1958, in Imboden, Arkansas, to Alonzo Thomas and Luttie Mae Johnson.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Thomas and Luttie Mae Johnson; brother, Jerry Johnson; sisters, Ola Mae Johnson, Lola Johnson, and Barbara Howard; and granddaughter, Camille McCain.
Steve is survived by his two sons, Steven (Mary Beth) Johnson, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Markas Johnson, of Imboden; three daughters, Tawana (Travis) Ashcraft, of Poplar Bluff, Miesha Johnson and Markiesha Johnson, both of Imboden, three brothers, Sherley (Pat) Johnson, of Pocahontas, Bob Johnson, of Conway, and Willis Gene (Nita) Johnson, of Imboden; two sisters, Jessie (Sherman) Ballard, of Pocahontas, Pat Johnson, of Springfield, Missouri; two grandchildren, Julissa and Allie Johnson; and many other loved ones and friends.
All services will be held in the chapel of Hope Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, March 6, 2021. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. Steve’s funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 1:00 pm, with Gerald Fears officiating. Steve will be laid to rest at the Hardin Cemetery.
Honored to carry Steve to his final earthly resting place are his nephews, Terrell, Maurice, Jermaine, Derron, Doug and Jerry Johnson.
The family has respectfully designated Kevin Johnson and Travis Ashcraft as honorary pallbearers.
Arrangements are under the care of Hope Gardens Funeral Home, in Pocahontas.
