On the 11th of January, 2021, an officer from the Pocahontas Police Department received a report of a reckless driver. Once Officers were able to make contact with the vehicle, a pursuit followed. During the pursuit, Mr. Hernandez struck a vehicle and fled the area on foot. Members of the Pocahontas Police Department, Pocahontas Fire Department (using a drone equipped with infrared night vision), Randolph County Sheriff’s Department, Arkansas Game and Fish, and Arkansas State Police spent the evening looking for Mr. Hernandez.
The next morning, the Pocahontas Police Department received reports of break-ins from two different car lots. A vehicle was stolen and was later recovered south of Hoxie unoccupied with the assistance of the Arkansas State Police. There was also a firearm reported stolen.
Mr. Hernandez was located and arrested on the afternoon of the 12th. During an interview, Mr. Hernandez did admit to being involved.

Judge Bigger set a $150,000.00 cash only bond. Mr. Hernandez first appearance date is set for 2nd day of March, 2021 in the Randolph County Circuit Court.
