At 9:32 pm on Sunday, Lawrence County authorities received a 911 call by a female caller stating her camper was intentionally rammed by a subject in a pickup truck while she was inside. The incident occurred in Rone Valley Park just north of Ravenden. Lawrence County Deputies, Ravenden Police and units from the Arkansas State Police responded to the scene. A medical unit from ProMed Ambulance was placed on standby as officers made sure the scene was safe.
The female victim was checked by medics once officers arrived on scene.
A BOLO ( Be On The Lookout) was issued to other departments in Lawrence County and surrounding counties for a 1998 Green Ford pickup with a gray camper on it. The suspect identified as a Stephen Strawn of Jonesboro fled the scene according to reports.
At 10:59 pm Ravenden Police spotted the suspect vehicle south of the Spring River bridge on Hwy 63. The suspect was taken into custody without incident by officers and transported to the Lawrence County Detention.
