This is a summary of the White House Coronavirus task force report on Arkansas for this week.   Northeast Arkansas remains in the “red zone†for the state.
According to the report, Craighead and five other NEA counties are in the “red zone†for COVID-19 cases. Those counties include Mississippi, Lawrence, Poinsett, Izard, and Baxter.
Just this week hospitals in Northeast Arkansas released a statement urging citizens to be cautious in response to the COVID-19 surge in the region.
 Recommendations per the White House Coronavirus task force to slow the spread of COVID-19  include continued mask requirements, social distancing, limiting social gatherings and making sure establishments are complying with directives. Craighead County recommendations include a “ rapid test and isolate†campaign.
