On 10-13-2020 at 1:38 am, the Greene County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call of a home invasion at the 4000 block on highway 135 South. During the investigation it was learned that the suspect entered threw the carport door. The family was asleep in the house and the suspect picked up a knife from the kitchen and went into the bedrooms of the house. During the altercation with the suspect, 2 juveniles and the father were stabbed with the knife. The father was able to grab a rifle from his bedroom and fired 5 or 6 rounds at the suspect while he was running from the living room. One juvenile had injuries to the neck and arm, the other juvenile had an injury to the leg, and the father was stabbed in the face. All 3 were taken to AMMC in Paragould. While Sgt. Jackson of the Greene County Sheriff’s Department was on scene of the 4000 block, another 911 call came threw of another home invasion just North of his location. Sgt. Jackson stated that he could hear screaming coming from North of his location. At that time, Sgt. Jackson diverted another Deputy to the location just North of him where the screams were coming from. Sgt. Jackson also asked for assistance from the Paragould police department. When EMS arrived on scene, they told Sgt. Jackson that they saw a naked male walking North down the highway. The suspect, Quinton Ray (age 24) of Jonesboro, was taken into custody and booked into the Greene County Sheriff’s Department. Greene County CID was called to the scene and the case is still under investigation.  Quinton Ray, age (24), is charged with 2 counts of residential burglary, and 3 counts of Battery 1st. degree (Y Felony).  He is currently being held without bond and will appear in court for his first appearance on October 15, 2020.
