Bobby G. Phillips, age 80, of Bonne Terre, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020, at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre. He was born June 15, 1940, in Ravenden, Arkansas to the late Joel W. and Lucille C. (Childers) Phillips. Bobby retired from American Airlines and Skill Tool Company and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Arkansas. He enjoyed fishing, singing, and wrote many songs. Bobby was a great dad, very caring, and always full of laughter.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his daughter, Amy Phillips; brother, Howard Phillips; sister, Freda Lanini and husband George; and brother-in-law, Charlie Hurt.
Bobby is survived by his son, Scott Phillips and wife Kirsten of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandsons, Dylan Phillips and wife Cayla, Braden Phillips; granddaughter, Eden Phillips; three great-grandsons; siblings, John Phillips and wife Bonnie, Cloyce Phillips and wife Maryetta, Virginia Hurt; Peggy Mortenyson and husband Ray; sister-in-law, Lois Phillips; close friend, Ann Gray whom was like a sister; multiple nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many other family and friends.
There will be a Memorial Service for Bobby on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 3:00 PM in the home of John and Bonnie Phillips. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
