A release from the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation stated Carrie C. Porter of Cave City who is currently serving a prison term for embezzling more than $285,000 from a Batesville bank will never work in one again.
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. announced on Friday it entered an order prohibiting Carrie C. Porter from working or serving on the board of any FDIC insured institution.
Porter is currently incarcerated in a Texas federal re-entry facility after pleading guilty to stealing $285,125 from First Community Bank of Batesville.
Porter stole money while working in the vault as a teller.
Reports state she concealed the embezzled funds by deleting transactions and entering fraudulent receipts.
Porter sentenced in November to 18 months in federal prison and ordered to pay restitution.
