Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson announced an additional 734 cases bringing the cumulative positive results to 40,181 on Tuesday. An additional 20 deaths have been reported bringing the death toll to 428 since March.
Hospitalized patients increased by 12 to 501 statewide. Patients on ventilators remains at 110.
There were 11 counties with more than 20 additional new cases with the top counties being Polk, Pulaski, Benton, Faulkner, Mississippi and Sebastian.
5248 test were performed over the last 24 hours. The Governor expects testing to meet the 180,000 goal set at the beginning of the month of July.
The ADH provided the map of positive cases as compared to number of test performed.
Active cases were reported as 6565 currently classified as active. 79 active cases are in nursing facilities and 225 of those in the correctional facilities.
823 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours bringing the total recovered to 33,188 since the pandemic began.
