Tyson Foods announces they’ve concluded testing of the Arkansas facilities stating that a total of 3748 employees in their Benton and Washington County processing factories with 481 positive test results, of those 455 were asymptomatic.
This is not the first outbreaks within their organization since the pandemic began. Outbreaks have been reported in their North Carolina, Nebraska and Iowa locations.
On Sunday China announced abruptly they would no longer be importing American poultry products. China had only recently began importing American poultry after a 5 year ban on the products. In 2013 China imported some $500 million dollars of chicken and turkey from the US before the 2014 ban was put in place.
Health officials have found no evidence of COVID being transmitted in association with food.
