Defense attorneys in the Rebecca O’Donnell trial requested more information from prosecutors on Tuesday about the alleged motive. The request comes just before the next scheduled hearing set for June 12th .
The motion request more information on why the prosecution believes the motive in the Linda Collins murder was money, as alleged by the prosecution. In April Special Prosecutor Robert Dittrich filed a motion in Randolph County Circuit Court alleging money as the motive.
O’Donnell is accused of the murder of former State Senator Linda Collins, she is charged with capital murder, abuse of a corpse and evidence tampering. O’Donnell has plead not guilty.
