The Center For Disease Control and Prevention has added an additional 6 new symptoms to its online list.
Chills, Repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache,sore throat and new loss of taste or smell.
The previous symptoms for the COVID-19 virus were listed as fever, cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing. Theses symptoms may appear 2-14 days after being exposed according to the CDC. The agency also list emergency warning signs as trouble breathing, persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion or inability to arouse and blush lips or face. CDC says if you have these symptoms you should seek medical action immediately.
Note: CDC states the list of emergency symptoms is not all inclusive and advises people to consult a doctor for other symptoms that are severe or concerning.
The CDC provides guidance for who should be tested, decisions are left up to state and local health departments as well as doctors.
