Attention Lawrence County Citizens:
The County Judge along with all of the Mayors of the county decided for the protection and welfare of the citizens, it was in the best interest to purchase surgical face masks for all residents. Each Mayor will decide how these will be distributed in their town and fire district for those who live outside the city limits. Please be patient as these tasks are worked out for the betterment and safety of all responders and workers that will be involved along with the public. There will be enough for 1 mask per person that lives in each residence. This surgical face mask can be cared for by simply wiping them down with hand sanitizer or disinfected after being worn in public. If you already have a cloth face mask or you have a face mask please give the one you will receive to someone that needs one. You will be informed as to how your Mayor will be distributing these as soon as possible. Please know we are all in this together and you are not alone.
