On Monday March 9th, 2020 U.S. census forms were made available online after the census bureau made a soft launch of its 2020 website. According to the census bureau for the first time the public is being encouraged to answer questions online. Mailers are set to go out on March 12th, you will still be able to answer questions by telephone or return the forms by mail. Census workers will begin going door to door in May to ask questions in homes that have not responded.

The results of the census determine how many congressional seats each state gets and determines the distribution of more than 1.5 trillion dollars in federal spending.
