With just a few weeks before the March election the Arkansas Supreme Court today overturned a ruling handed down in January by a lower court rendering District Judge Adam Weeks ineligible for the Circuit Judge District 3 position.
In January the lower court heard the case filed by a Randolph County citizen last year and ruled that Weeks was ineligible to hold the office due to a fictitious tag violation when he was a young adult. The case also brought up some past insufficient fund violations that occurred around the same time period but were ruled out of the case. Weeks gave the court explanations for the offenses and vowed to appeal the January decision to the Arkansas Supreme Court.
