Randolph County Sheriff Kevin Bell announced that a suspicious death investigation was underway after a Jonesboro man was involved in an altercation and later died from his injuries.
The victim was identified as 33 year old, Brandon Will of Jonesboro. According to authorities shortly after 1am on February 4th Randolph County Deputies were called to an intoxicated person allegedly passed out in a vehicle on Hwy 115 near Maynard. Authorities instead discovered the victim which they believed had been bludgeoned.
Brandon Will was transported to a Pocahontas hospital where he was pronounced dead Tuesday morning. The body was sent to the Arkansas State Police Crime Lab in Little Rock.
The investigation is still ongoing, no suspects have been named at this time. We will continue to update this article as information is released.
