On February 4th, 2020 Sharp County sheriff’s office was notified by the emergency room in Cherokee Village of a stabbing victim who came to their facility. Authorities responded and took a report. The victim identified the attacker as 20 yr. old, Jessie Hope of Ash Flat.
The incident reportedly took place on Zion Road in Izard County. The victim and several individuals including Jessie Hope were traveling in a vehicle that stopped in the road when some type of altercation took place which resulted in the stabbing.
Jessie Hope was taken into custody and charged with battery 1st degree, a Class B felony. He was given a bond of $20,000 along with a February 18th, Izard County court date. Jessie Hope’s criminal background includes prior arrests in Sharp, Fulton, and Izard counties with prior charges of aggravated assault and fleeing in a vehicle in 2019. Also driving on revoked drivers license. He has a DWI charge in 2018.
