Remembering the flood of 1982

After a Facebook post by Imboden resident Joe Chappell we were reminded of the great flood of 1982. Over the years many stories have been told of “where were you when the flood happened?”

Thanks to the late Francis and Pam Campbell, the event was documented by their son Craig in photo’s and shared with Imbodenarkansas.com.

You can view the photo’s that show the flooding at both Ravenden and Imboden. In Imboden a large section of town was flooded including Fair Park acres, Imboden housing, the lower park of Kentucky street, west 2nd street, highway 63, and highway 63 at Ravenden.
