Lawrence County authorities captured the suspect in an early morning stabbing shortly after 9 a.m. on Friday. 44 year old, Brad Hackworth was arrested after allegedly stabbing a female multiple times at his motel room at the Autumn Inn in Imboden.
The female was transported to an area hospital for treatment of her wounds.
Hackworth left the scene of the stabbing in a 2006 silver Chevrolet Colorado, four door truck. Sgt. Jamie White with Lawrence County Sheriff’s office CID told Imboden Live earlier that they believed Hackworth was still in the area and they had numerous deputies on the look out for Hackworth. At 9:17 am Hackworths’ vehicle was spotted on Hwy 115 in Annieville. He was taken into custody without incident. His vehicle was towed by Dail’s Wrecker Service of Ravenden.
Hackworth has numerous prior convictions ranging from burglary, to battery, to meth charges. Hackworth was transported to the Lawrence County Detention Center to await his bond hearing and a court date will be given.
