On Friday morning the Lynn Volunteer Fire Department was paged to a structure fire on the 100 block of Lawrence 279.
A Lawrence County Deputy in the area responded and was first on scene, he described heavy smoke coming from the house that was reportedly vacant.
An ambulance from ProMed was on standby at the scene.
Strawberry Fire Department was requested by Lynn for additional man power. Strawberry responded with an engine and several firefighters.
The house was a total loss, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
