Luther “Luke†Allen Clay, 44, of Black Rock passed away Friday, December 29, 2018 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.
He was born December 26, 1974 in Pocahontas to Phil and Linda Casey Clay. He member of the Imboden Volunteer Fire Department where he earned the designation of firefighter of the year in 2013. He was the owner of Clay’s Pallet Mill and of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by his mother; Linda Casey Clay, paternal grandparents; Luther Van & Mildred Clay, and sister; Cindy Clay.
Luke is survived by his wife; Dana Louise Davis Clay of the home, three daughters; Kandyce M, Samantha J, and Haven F Clay all of the home, daughter of his heart; Terri Elizabeth Davis of Ravenden; his father, Phil (Cora) Clay of Pocahontas, siblings; JD Lenderman, Phillip Wayne (Bylinda) Clay, Angela Huddleston, Roger Sorg, Holly Watson, Shelia (Scott) Floyd, and Edward Clay, and many other relatives and friends.
Luke’s legacy is his daughters. He will forever live on in them. He was loved by many and was a good friend to all.
His passion for drag racing was known to all. “See you at the finish line!â€
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 3, 2018 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2018 in the chapel of McNabb Funeral Home from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
Pallbearers include: Shannon White, Bruce Hill, Van Davis, Max Moore, Michael Sexton, and Joey Rone.
Honorary Pallbearers include: Hoss Simkins, Roger Sorg, Ed Clay, Jeff Rece, and Trevor Moore.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Colby Hostler Scholarship Fund at Black River Technical College or to the Harmony Cemetery.
